Geneva, Switzerland is a great city to visit. There are many things to see in Geneva, but sometimes people are fortunate to be able to spend more time in Geneva and would like to see some other places around the city. I was able to visit Geneva several times and I learned about a few beautiful places right around Geneva. They are all within driving distance and all make for a great day trip.
The Arch of Triumph in Paris France is one of the most famous attractions in Paris. Everyone who visits Paris wants to see it. However, once you get to see it and get close to it you’ll notice lots of people on top of the Arch. But how do they get there? There are no huge signs showing you how to and you can’t cross the huge and scary round about around the Arch. You just need to find the entry to the underground passageway that will lead you there. Read on to find out.
Reims, France is filled with history and it is pretty close to Paris. This is why Reims makes for a great daytrip from Paris. In addition to old churches you can see old Roman ruins and you can also visit one or more of the major champagne houses that make the Champagne region famous worldwide. Once in Reims you can easily walk around to the main tourist destinations. 
Even though located only about 65 miles north of Paris, Soissons is relatively unknown as a tourist attraction in France. However, Soissons has a very rich heritage in French history being one of the oldest towns in all of France. In fact Soissons was the first capital of old France in 486 A.D. As a consequence you will find lots of historical buildings in Soissons today.
Chamonix, France is a very famous winter resort but it’s not popular only in the winter. We visited Chamonix at the beginning of October on a bright and sunny day. This great weather gave us awesome views of the Alps and made our one hour drive a breeze. We couldn’t resist stopping at one of the rest stops just to admire the mountains. It proved to be the perfect day trip from Geneva, Switzerland. 
I love Paris ! I think most everyone who visits this city will just love it! I’m not really sure about people living in Paris though, but I still think most people living there love the city. Being a large city, Paris offers everything to everyone in terms of entertainment, food and tourist attractions. It is hard to pick the best tourist attractions, but if you’re only spending a few days in Paris you’re better off sticking with the well known tourist attractions. These Paris tourist attractions are what makes Paris famous, so they are worth seeing them.
We loved this little town. This is a great spot for a day trip from Geneva. We would’ve loved to take the boat from Geneva but we didn’t have enough time. The boat ride takes about two hours because it has to stop in a few places before reaching Yvoire. The boat ride looks very appealing especially on a clear day and I am sure that the views from the boat are just amazing. However, because we didn’t have enough time, we decided to drive instead and it took us about 30 minutes from Geneva.
We were in Annecy in 2005 at the beginning of October and stumbled upon this farmers’ festival. It took me a while to figure out what the name of this festival was but I finally found it: Return from alpine pasture (Le Retour des Alpages). It takes place the second Saturday of October, every year. We just happened to visit Annecy on that Saturday and it was great…We sampled local food, saw a cow parade and listened to local music…all this with tons of other people.
I have to start with Paris! This is my favorite city…I just love Paris! Ok, ok…enough said about Paris…but how about the Eiffel Tower? Some people may suggest that it’s not worth visiting, but I disagree completely. I believe the Eiffel Tower is worth all the effort and cash required for climbing all the way to the top. So is the Eiffel Tower overrated ?
