Thanks for the article. Being a resident of Palm Springs myself, I have to say the summer in the desert can be fun, and guests aren't merely locked away in front of their air conditioners. Hotels and restaurants offer up great travel bargains in the off seasons. As residents, we love the summer because it is less crowded. The mornings are absolutely beautiful, as are the balmy evenings! Hang out by the pool, go for spa treatments, go to the water park, go up to the aerial tram where its 20 degrees cooler, check out the many mid-century vintage shops, go to the outlet mall in the heat of the day.

As a desert destination, we're equiped to keep our residents comfortable in the heat of the summer...so for those looking for a great get away at a reduced price, I would strongly encourage visitors to check out out from May to September, as well as the rest of the year!!
