Is the Eiffel Tower overrated ?
I have to start with Paris! This is my favorite city…I just love Paris! Ok, ok…enough said about Paris…but how about the Eiffel Tower? Some people may suggest that it’s not worth visiting, but I disagree completely. I believe the Eiffel Tower is worth all the effort and cash required for climbing all the way to the top. So is the Eiffel Tower overrated ?

- Climb the stairs to the first level and then to the second if you still can. It will give you a great workout but you get to see the tower’s structure real close.
- Take the elevator to the last level. Make sure you buy tickets before you sit in line for the elevator because it’s NOT free even though there are no signs. However, it’s really worth the price to climb all the way to the top level.
Climbing in the Eiffel Tower
I have climbed in the tower twice and I loved it every time. The first time, because I’m cheap when it comes to travel, I didn’t buy an elevator ticket to the top floor and I climbed the stairs to the first floor. I would’ve climbed stairs all the way to the top if there would be any stairs…but there aren’t. I had to take the elevator. However, I didn’t see any sign that said anything about any ticket. So, I stayed in line until I got to the elevator and they asked for my ticket. I felt really stupid…I guess I should have asked the people sitting in line. The second time I was sure to buy my ticket before sitting in line…of course I did

Yeah…it’s worth climbing in the Eiffel Tower
It is really worth it to go to the top of the tower and just look at the view all the way around. If it’s very windy you might actually feel the tower bending with the wind which is a very unpleasant feeling. However, to see Paris (Read my travel destination guide for Paris) from that high altitude is just breathtaking and it beats any other feelings you might have going up.

I love the Eiffel Tower. I love France. I wish I could go there. I might as well start practicing speaking French!

Thanx for the comment Kylie…I wish I could visit Paris again as well. A good way to practice French is to try watch French news on http://www.tv5.org for example. At least that’s what I do to keep up with my French.

Thanx Margarett for your comment. I haven’t visited Italy yet…I would love to do it but it’s harder now having kids. Being a tourist is harder, but life is much more fun with kids. Glad you like my blog.

I had to do a project for something……..and I chose PARIS!!!!!! There is some amazing stuff that i didn’t even know about!!! I wanna go see the Eiffel Tower now!!!!

Thanx for the comment Brianna. Yes that’s true there is lots of amazing “stuff” in Paris. Well…if you can go see the Eiffel Tower, go see it…I think it’s worth it. There is so much more to see in Paris.

I just went to France and they are extremely rude, but the Eiffel tower is the most exciting sight i’ve ever seen. I’m hoping to move there with my husband in a few weeks.

Thanx for you comment Amy-Lee…well the French are not rude when you try speaking their language. Not sure what circumstances you encountered but my experience has been pretty positive over there. I did try to speak French however while visiting there…and it’s true that while my French is not great, I can get by in most situations. And yes…the Eiffel Tower is a great sight!

I’m French, and For me, I don’t find that Paris is a pretty city… Everything is grey! Except Eiffel Tower. Desolate, if I made errors kisses bye
